Southern vendor White Robe Lodge is no stranger to New Zealand Bloodstock’s South Island Sale having produced recent stakes winners Civil Disobedience (NZ) (Raise the Flag) and Parthesia (NZ) (Raise the Flag) from this sale ring, and today they marked the beginning of several new hopeful success stories as 61 lots went under the hammer.
While the operation has continued their leading vendor by aggregate streak for the last three consecutive years, they also sold the highest priced yearling from this year’s catalogue.
In less than two weeks, 61 southern bred yearlings will make their sale ring appearance at New Zealand Bloodstock’s South Island Sale – many presented by the same vendors of stakes-winning graduates of the Sale.
Often seen leading the vendors by aggregate table, perennial consignor White Robe Lodge will present the largest draft at the Sale with 12 lots catalogued. Not only have they succeeded in the sale ring, but they have also produced stakes winners Civil Disobedience (NZ) (Raise the Flag) and Parthesia (NZ) (Raise the Flag) from this Sale in recent years.
The tough southern-bred product has left impressions not only in the South Island racing scene, but further north in New Zealand and across the Tasman in Australia. At affordable prices, a new wave of 61 yearlings will be on offer at New Zealand Bloodstock’s South Island Sale, presenting an opportunity to invest with lucrative and promising results on the racetrack as seen by graduates of the Sale.
With 14 individual stakes winners having laid claim to 23 stakes races since the start of the 2014-15 season, this season’s four individual stakes winners so far cost as little as $1,000 and could have been secured for up to $20,000 at the Sale.
