Standing at $110,000 in 2008/09, More Than Ready has sired four Australian Group 1 winners, three of them out of Danehill, or Danehill line mares, and all three have entered stud duty including 2008 Group 1 Golden Slipper winner Sebring (x Purespeed, by Flying Spur) who will join the Widden Stud roster in 2009, Vinery Stud's Group 1 Victoria Derby winner Benicio (x Mannington, by Danehill), and Brighthill Farm's young Group 1 Goodwood Handicap winner Perfectly Ready (x Elle Duccio, by Danehill).

This season More Than Ready hasbeenmost impressive through his two year olds who include Phelan Ready, winner of the Magic Millions 2YO Classique, Colour, winner of the Group 2 SAJC Breeders' Stakes, and Blue Sky Thoroughbreds' very exciting prospect Common Interest, a coltwho blew his rivals away on the weekend in the Listed Festival of Racing Stakes and looks to follow Sebring's path through theSydney Autumn Carnival

Highview Stud will sell two More Than Ready mares at their Deplenishing Sale, and both of them are free of Danzig/Danehill blood, making them easy propositions to mate.

General Nediym 1994 (Nediym - Military Belle, by Without Fear)

General Nediym's passing earlier this year dealt a blow to Australasia's thoroughbred industry. From the same family as Horlicks, General Nediym was Champion Australian Sprinter at three in capturing both of Victoria's feature Group 1 sprints, the Newmarket Handicap and the Lightning Stakes, and his progeny have shown a similar aptitude for the shorter distances.

At just fourteen years of age "The General" has left twenty-three stakes winners including Group 1 VRC Lightning Stakes winner Regimental Girl, last season's Group 2 Pago Pago Stakes winner Sidereus, and this season, Paprika, winner of the Listed Tommy Smith Slipper before finishing runner-up in the Magic Millions 2YO Classique.
