Fillies Super Bonus Jackpots To $50,000

The $25,000 Mercedes Super Bonus remained intact after a hotly contested race by the fillies at Counties on Saturday.

With 2YO Karaka sales graduates Summer Nymph (Danske x Nymphaea) and Kapsdan (Kapstaad x Danaselvam) securing a close second and third to the Graeme Rogerson & Steven Autridge trained Florilegium (Cape Cross x Gardenia), the $25,000 bonus went unclaimed. Although the Chris & Dick Bothwell trained filly, Summer Nymph put in a strong performance in this her second start, Saturday was not to be her day for a bonus collect.

Eligible bonus contenders will now be able to line up for a $50,000 jackpot bonus as Saturday's $25,000 bonus rolls over to the second Fillies Bonus Race on 6 December. Wellington will play host to this jackpot race making it a big week for Mercedes Super Bonuses with the $50,000 Colts & Geldings Jackpot Bonus being run at Avondale on 3 December.

Three of the four $10,000 bonuses have so far been struck, with Kapsdan, Clifton Prince (Volksraad x Trickery) and Iflooxcouldkill (Daggers Drawn x Hear's Hoping) all dipping into the bonus pool.
