Savabeel gelding Bobo So Cute (NZ), who went through the Karaka sale ring three times, picked up the most significant win of his career in Sunday’s M$800,000 Listed Macau Gold Cup (1800m).

Ridden by Ryan Curatolo for trainer MC Tam, Bobo So Cute overcame a slow start to score an impressive half-length victory in the Gold Cup, which is the third leg of Macau’s Triple Crown.

It was his 10th win and lifted his stake earnings past M$3 million. He has now won three Listed races, having previously claimed the Macau Spring Trophy (1500m) and Lisboa Challenge (1400m).

Bobo So Cute was bred by Mrs C L McLachlan and was offered as a weanling at the 2012 National Weanling, Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale, where Mr WH Shum bought him for $40,000. He then fell short of his reserve at the 2013 Select Sale and Ready to Run Sale.
