Bumper Festival Sale for Karaka 2015

8 January 2015

New Zealand Bloodstock’s Festival Sale will once again be a bumper one-day session following last year’s success.

With 329 yearlings catalogued for sale on Sunday 1 February, the Festival Sale will conclude Karaka 2015’s action-packed week of selling.

To round off the day is Happy Hour from 6pm – 7pm in the new Garden Bar with drink discounts and a BBQ to accompany the final 100 Lots of Karaka 2015.

Recent times have seen the Festival Sale enjoy black-type success which has continued throughout the current season.

Leading Karaka Million contender Showboy (NZ) (Showcasing) sold for just $15,000 at last year’s Festival Sale and, with a Group 2 victory to his name already, he now spearheads the Order of Entry for New Zealand’s richest race.

Hong Kong Derby winner Fay Fay (NZ) (Falkirk) is a prominent Festival Sale graduate. Upon returning to New Zealand he resumed racing to win the Group 2 Stella Artois Tauranga Stakes.

While seasoned runner Zennista (NZ) (Zenno Rob Roy) claimed her sixth stakes win this season and Ginner Hart (NZ) (Volksraad) added black-type success to his pedigree.
