New Zealand Bloodstock is one of the world’s finest thoroughbred auction houses, passionate about promoting its auction sales and the NZ thoroughbred industry. We are looking for someone with a similar passion for our sport, who is enthusiastic about taking on this diverse, dynamic and challenging role.

The full-time role based at Karaka has a strong PR and communications focus that includes planning, researching and producing editorial on a regular basis. As part of a small team with an ‘all hands on deck’ approach, the role will also involve a wide and varied range of marketing tasks, including assisting with sponsorship, advertising, social media, results reporting, and statistical analysis.

A strong knowledge of the Australasian thoroughbred breeding and racing industries is imperative. This role suits a person who actively and enthusiastically follows all things thoroughbred. They will have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, strong IT skills, an astute eye for detail, and the flexibility, initiative and confidence to think creatively and deliver to the very highest standard.

The successful applicant will be hard-working, willing to learn and an enthusiastic team player who can also work independently as required. Previous employment in the thoroughbred industry would be advantageous, as would previous marketing experience.
